According to the
teaching of the Arizal, the soul of Moshiach comes down in every generation. If
the people (Jewish People, specifically, as "chosen people", in my
honest opinion - Gilson) of the generation are worthy (being Torah, Shabbat
Observant, in my honest opinion - Gilson) the Moshiach will be revealed.
Otherwise he will pass on unacknowledged and the lofty soul will return later
in a new body.
